Our bus was VERY full so we sat 3 to a seat.
Wyatt fell asleep...before the build...
Our bus had to cross a river to get to the build sites.
Yesterday was an eventful day to say the least! We had two
house builds out near the lumber yard. One house was a 16X11 and one was a 16X
13….so you could say that our build sites were a little on smaller side. We
also had a team go out to finish the medical center at Didasko, a group goto
the hospital/food distribution, and a group that went and feed people at the
dump.
My house build was literally in the side of a rock. We were
all singing “He Hideth My Soul in the cleft of the rock,” haha. It was one of
the most difficult house builds that I have ever been on based on the site. We
had a rock wall on one side, about a half an inch in-between one wall and the
house beside it, and drop offs that were sliding away on the other two sides. We had to build the high wall up on the inside
of the house because there was not enough room to build it on the outside.
Small build site.
Another view of the house build site.
This is the wall that we had to build on the inside.
The couple took a lunch break together.
The finished house! In the cleft of the rock!

Lydia (Who raised the money for the house) and the family.
Joel with the cutest baby in the world!
Floor team!
Sometime after lunch the other group came over asking for
medical supplies because a 16’ 2X4 dropped on Scotts head. He had to go and get
stitches but he is okay! He is planning on painting today so that he does not
have to worry about it getting hit or dirty on a build site today. The poor guy
seems to have something happen to him every time he comes to Honduras!
We got back to Villa Gracia around 5:15 and dinner was at
5:30 so that we could get to the Jesus Statue by 7:00. We had the delicious
homemade chips! They are so good!!! The Jesus Statue is a beautiful place, we
are the only people allowed to go at night and see the city. I promise the
pictures I post do not do it any sort of justice but you can still look for
your enjoyment. J
I'll never let go Jack!
