God's In Control So Why Worry!

Okay I know it has been a long while since I last posted but my computer broke. (Kinda hard to keep up with a blog when you have no Internet access!) Any way, I am getting settled here at OVU and enjoying some of it. (It's not Faulkner but I'm growing more fond of it as I get to know more people.) I am again working at the good ol' DQ in Vienna, nothing new in that area of my life. I also have 2 other jobs! (Yea crazy college kid with 3 jobs and still being a full time student...yet still broke) I babysit for the church that I attend and it is so much fun! I love the kids that I am blessed to watch while their moms go to a bible study! And I also have a work study job for the EDU department at OVU.

I went home a few weekends ago and it was a pretty good time. I got to go to Idewild with my family for Church of Christ Day and hang out with my amazing 3 nephews! We also got free tickets to go another day because it started raining and the closed the park early (A win in my opinion because we got most a day and get to go another for free!). I also gave Bug his birthday present (His birthday was September 11) since I didn't get to go home for his party. He loved his train set!

I have been working a lot on my jewelry! I go to my first festival in 2 weeks (CRAZY) and I want to make sure I have plenty made to sell that day! I really hope it goes well! Please be praying about that for me! Here are some of my newer things that I've been working on!

New bag I got to carry some of my already made stuff.

I got my banner, business cards, some magnets, and a pen! (They were having a sell )

All filled up!

New Creations!

Now for my short little food for thought. I have been dealing with a lot of stress in my life lately. Its crazy how our lives can really weigh us down isn't it? We allow so many things in our lives tear us down and God is calling for us to just leave things go to Him because He will take care of our every need, if we allow Him.

Do Not Worry (Matthew 6:25-34)

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

We were made in the likeness of God. He sent His Son to DIE for us because He loved us that much! We don't need to worry about anything in our lives because He will provide for us and I  have found He has always provided for me when I needed. He allows the lilies of the field to grow so beautifully and the bird of the sky always are provided for, so what about us? Did God send His Son to die for the lilies? The birds? No! He sent His Son to die for us because of our sins because He loves us that much! Put your worries into God's hands and allow him to take care of them. After all He will do a much better job dealing with them then we ever could wish to do ourselves.

That's all for tonight!

Home Sweet Not A Dorm Room

I know it has been a few weeks since I posted but being sick and moving causes these things to happen! I am now back at OVU for my LAST year of school! (woot woot) It's still strange for me being at this school instead of Faulkner and I really miss everyone from down there but I really do feel God brought me up here for a reason and I am determined to make the best of it. I am all moved into my new place and I am blessed to have such a wonderful family to live with here at OVU. Tomorrow I go up to school to do some last minute class switches and start looking into the cost of books (yay). Hopefully it doesn't drain my bank account too much!

My jewelry selling is still going on fairly well, currently I'm trying to just stock up on stuff for the festival at the end of September that I am going to. I also plan on getting a weekend set up for Rinky Dinks, probably for mid October. I have been busy working on some holiday stuff! I made some wonderful candy corn and pumpkin beads the other day. I also want to look into making some reindeer beads!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat =]

I was reading one of my books today and it really got me thinking and I just wanted to share a little bit before I finish. Where do you keep God in your daily life? Do you keep Him involved in your life? Do you talk to Him about your problems? In my book it talked about how God is everywhere with us even if we choose not to acknowledge His presence. He is everywhere that we have been and everywhere that we will ever go. He knows more about us then we know about ourselves, down to the number of hairs on your head! I know this is something that I struggle with sometimes but we need to remember to earnestly seek Him throughout our daily lives and strive to build a relationship with Him. He will always be right beside us on our daily walk of life, through trials, laughs, hurts, everything and He will see us through. Remember to keep Him close and involve Him in your life.

Life In The Fast Lane

What a week! I have been so busy the last few days, my sister got married on Friday and then we have all 7 of my nieces and nephews on Saturday. It was quite an adventure taking all 7 of kids to the zoo on Saturday but it was lots of fun! I'm looking forward to things slowing down soon, but realistically that's not going to happen, haha! I move back down for school in 2 weeks, which is crazy! I'm hoping to start selling at Rinky Dinks mid September! However it may have to wait until the beginning of October.

I started making some new stuff that includes feather earrings! They seem to be pretty nice and I think people will like them a lot, hopefully!

We all got our nails done for the wedding.
Above we have Alana and below we have the beautiful bride!
All the girls after getting our nails done.

The day of the wedding I was put on babysitting duty while everyone decorated. It's crazy how much more hectic a wedding can be when you have 7 kids that are there "helping" get ready for the wedding haha!

We went for a fun little walk together!
The lakes and playground at Twin Lakes Park made for a great time with the kiddos.

It also gave me lots of picture opportunities!
Lani on the playground.

Don't they look happy, haha.

After a while we all had to go get ready though, play time can't last forever!

My two oldest nieces and I. They were so beautiful. =]

Getting all beautified =] She sure did make for a beautiful Bride!

I love this picture of Bug haha =] He is so handsome.
Getting his tux on =] He looks adorable!

Now for the new jewelry! As I said I've started some feather earrings =] I hope you like them!

Do Not Fear

"De manera que podemos decir confiadamente:
El Senor es me ayudador; no temere
Lo que me pueda hacer el hombre."

"So we can confidently say:
The Lord is my helper, I will no fear;
what can man do to me?"
Hebrews 13: 6

I came across this verse today during my daily chapter reading, I read Hebrews 13 because it is where my Uncle Ben had taught his lesson from this morning at church. I really just love the message of this verse. No matter what people of this world do we have the ability to overcome it through God. We have no reasons to worry about anything and that really should be a comfort to us. I wish I could somehow constantly remember this verse because I so often worry about things when what I really need to do is confidently rely on God as this verse states. I have an awesome God who created this world and gave His son so that I could one day be with Him in heaven.

Hopefully you can always remember that God is your helper and that with Him we have absolutely NOTHING to fear!

Picture Time!
