The Greatest Design

Have you ever stopped and looked around the amazing world that we live in? I mean seriously! God is one amazing artist! He somehow thought up every single person that has ever walked this earth, all the plants, trees, animals, EVERYTHING! I mean we have had some pretty great artist throughout time but I don't believe any of them could ever top God's art (After all the things they paint God created ha!) So I guess I'm just reminding ya'll to take a look around and remember that God created this world and all its beauty! We are so very blessed to live in this world, I can't imagine what heaven will look like!!

As for my lovely day today, it was pretty great! I was able to spend some much needed time with my beautiful best friend Steph at her house. We always have such a good time together, haha! We may seem rather strange to some though, we hug pretty much everytime we see each other, even if it was just 2 seconds earlier. I've always wanted a friend like her and God has so graciously put her in my life! I couldn't ask for a better friend! Any way after it was work at the DQ for us! Now time for some pics and then I will send you all on your way to other things!

New Discoveries

I always get really excited when I figure out something new. It doesn't matter what it is about new things just are always so wonderful! One of the greatest areas to find a new discovery has to be in God's Word! It can do such wonders in a persons life to read a section of the Bible and discover something new about the verse. It's great to know that you can think of new things that verses can mean as you grow on your walk with God and the more you learn the deeper and closer to God we become. I hope all this makes sense to ya'll as I ramble about it on this blog, I've never been a big speaker when it comes to devos and stuff like that, haha.

Any way sorry it has been so long but I have had a very busy weekend as you will see in the pictures to come, I hope you're excited!

Happy Birthday to me! I had a Mario theme B-day party with some friends and we dressed up!

On Saturday we went to the Zoo and bug got a tattoo of a turtle!

Emmett got one too!

Jaws! Look out!

We were lucky because a Kangaroo was close enough to pet, which hardly every happens!
Based on this face I'd say the zoo was a success!
I simply love this picture =] Tigers are one of my favorite animals!

It started raining but no worries we stayed dry!!

My handsome other nephew could not go to the Zoo but we were able to get ice cream on Sunday!
So good! A rootbeer shake and some black-raspberry ice cream!
My new discovery of sorts! I now make hair clips too! The littler ones are $4 and the animal ones are $7
Modeling a few of the creations!

I love these! I hope you do too!

I haven't made much jewelry this weekend but here are a few pairs I was able to do!

I hope you can go out and make some new discoveries of your own! Best of luck to you!!

Bright As Lightning

"When the thunder roars, when the lightning strikes, I won't be afraid but quickly run indoors. It's God's plan you see not to frighten me, but the plants and trees need water just like me."

This is a quote that I believe my Aunt Jill had made up at one time and someone it got around and it was said to me when I was little during a storm. I thought of it tonight when a huge storm rolled in right as I was getting ready to leave for work. I always have found that storms show just how powerful our God is, I think that's part of when I love storms so much! One of my favorite things to do during a storm is get a cup of hot tea and sit on the porch, watching God's awesome power.

As for other parts of my day before the storm today. I have been super busy getting ready for my Birthday party tomorrow! Hopefully the weather is cleared up tomorrow since we are suppose to camp out! I put up a tent today all by myself, it made me feel quite accomplished! *Crossing my fingers tomorrow is beautiful!*

Putting up that tent all by myself! I have skills!

I got some new beads so I had to make some new stuff!

Storm!!

It was so windy and raining so hard this picture doesn't even do justice!

New shoes since I gave mine away in Honduras =]

Living The High Life

It's amazing how blessed I am! God has given me so many things: a great summer job, wonderful friends, food always in my belly, the ability to get a Christian education, a wonderful family, etc. I wish I could remember to thank Him more often for all the things He does for me everyday! So many people do not have some of these wonderful things God has given me! I mean granted at times funds may run tight or we may have some family issues but the important thing is that God somehow always manages to find a way to help us out in times of need! He has never left my side no matter how many times I have pushed Him away and I think that is the most wonderful blessing of all! I guess my little tid-bit of advice for today is to never forget all the blessings you have in your life and remember no matter how bad it may seem God can help you get out of any hard time!

Loving Life! Before going out with a great friend for lunch!
Loving Life! Prior to going out to lunch with an amazing friend!! =]

Off To The Flea Market!

This is very exciting to me! I have found a place to sell my jewelry when I get back to school! It is a Flea Market called Rinky Dinks in Marietta Ohio! I'm really hoping that it becomes a regular place for me to be at each weekend! I have officially broke even with this investment now so if nothing else I have lost nothing! I am overwhelmed by the current support my friends and family have given me! It makes me so happy every time I see people wearing the jewelry I made! I hope it continues to grow!
Live, Laugh, Love!

My first non-coin necklace!! I love it, hopefully you do too!

I love my kitty! Her name is Abby. =]

This if my pair of the day! I just love these earrings so I wanted to spotlight them!

My hobby had grown to 2 boxes or organized mess! =]

On another note I am officially a year older! (Woot woot) My birthday was Monday and although I didn't do much I am having a birthday party with friends on Friday! I plan on showing my jewelry off to some friends there as well ;) Since I'm doing this blog I thought I'd make some goals for myself this year and see if I accomplish any of them:

  1. Graduate College
  2. Find A Job
  3. Build My Jewelry "Business"
  4. Learn Spanish
  5. Grow Closer to God
  6. Continue to Have A Love For Life
Yep I think that looks life a good list! Wish me luck!!

Peace, Love, and Pennies

I'm so excited with each passing day friends and family look more and more into my jewelry and I have already made back what I originally bought in beads plus some profit! I also have tons of beads left to continue creating! I am also looking into flee markets and other avenue of selling that hopefully will go well!
We always have my nephews on Sundays! It was great to have some one on one time with  Bug today!

Also don't forget to check out my ears! I'm wearing some of my jewelry!

Peace Love and Pennies! I made a pair of 2012 penny earrings for my brothers girlfriend and couldn't resist having the title of my blog post being peace, love, and pennies. =]

The penny earrings were 2012 pennies for the year of her little boys birth and the blue beads to show it was a boy. I also made her a matching necklace/bracelet that is used as a headband in the photo above!

My wonderful Aunt Rene got me these little baggies today to put my earrings in when people buy a pair!

So basically things are going splendid and I would like to thank all who have been supportive of this new project of mine! More to come in the near future! =]

Let's Get This Started!

Well here we go, I am not real sure where this thing is going to go but we'll give it a try! This blog is going to be a place to update everyone on my Mission Trip funds and also just a photo blog of my everyday life.

I have been traveling to Honduras since 2004 for summer mission trips. This past year I was talking to a good friend of mine, Pattie and she suggested I start up jewelry selling to raise money for my trip. Hopefully this will help me to more easily get the money I need to go on my trip. I will be making earrings($5), bracelets($10), and necklaces($10-15).

Spanish/English Parallel Bible - I am hoping to learn Spanish for next years trip!

Some of the earrings that I have made and am selling.

Beads!

Bracelets I have made to sell!
