A big happy fathers day from all of us in Costa Rica! We had another wonderful day getting settled in. Woke up to a simple breakfast of cereal before going out to the church.
We had Bible class at 9:30 and the preacher from the congregation shared a message with is. Then for church service Scott McDowell spoke, beginning his series on the church and how it is all connected together. He also touched some on the awesome power of our God through the story of his brother in law, Terry, who survived a cancer that only 1 in 20 survive.
After church we hung out for about 30 minutes just getting to know some of them people and then headed into the city to have lunch. We ate at a place called La Finca...I think....then we wondered around a gift shop for a bit.
When we got back to the camp we worked on our puppet acts for VBS which will start tomorrow at both the school and church since there may be a....drumroll please.....TEACHER STRIKE...beginning on Wednesday...funny how I cant seem to get away from that huh!?
Anyway that was pretty much our day yesterday.....before signing off I want to wish all my WV teachers good luck as you ralley in Charleston fighting for our teacher rights this week. I am there with you in spirit! #55strong
