Happy Arból Day!

So today we finally got things rolling with VBS! We headed out the escuela sabanilla around 9:30 and surprisingly arrived almost an hour earlier then we were suppose to. This turned out to be a fantastic thing because the kids had a program for arbor day and we were able to watch it.

The program consisted of multiple presentations, dances, and announcing the student government leaders for next school year.

The school.

These three girls did a dance. They sure did get some air on the lift!

Swearing in the new government officers.

After the program we got all of our things set up for VBS. We began with our puppet show about Peter denying Jesus. The students were then broken up into various groups to do the craft, eat snack, and play soccer.

After all the groups went through we had just a few minutes to play with all the children. Brandy went through some exercises with them and I did a small yoga flow with them. The kids had a blast with this!

We headed back to camp after that and got things ready for VBS and the gospel meeting at the church. At 6:00 we left for the church. I was part of the VBS crew again, we did the same puppet skit and craft that we did at the school. Scott spoke at the gospel meeting while we did VBS for the kids. We had about 70 people in total at the VBS and gospel meeting. When we got back to camp everyone was pretty tired so we all went straight to the cabins for bed.
