I May Be Dumb As A Brick, But I'm Smarter Then A Door

Saturday got off to a bit of a late start since we didnt get in until about 2:30AM, many people slept in until about 10/10:30. Once we were all able to get ourselves back to the grind we began our work on VBS and the Gosple Meeting that we will be doing this week.

I was part of the VBS crew, along with most of the minions (the ambassadors/interns/teenagers). We got many of the craft materials cut out and ready for the incoming week. I wrote out two puppet skits  One on Zacchaeus and one on the Devil tempting Jesus in the desert and got it translated to Spanish.

We also were able to go and visit the church that we will be working with throughout our trip. It is a nice congregation of about 60 people, according to the preacher. After leaving the church we stopped at a bakery and got some goodies to fill out bellies. YUM!

Terry talked at devo tonight about the importance in taking your goal and using it to the best of your ability. We have a small group this year in Costa Rica, only 15 people, but it is a group filled with talents that together will do amazing things.

The blog title today goes out to a conversation some of us had today about how hard it is at times to work the key and get the cabin doors to unlock from the inside. Then somewhere in that conversation we decided that we may be dumb as a brick but as long as we are able to overcome that lock, at least we are smarter then a door.
