Sprint To The End!

Today we got back in the swing of things and are working on the final sprint of our Honduras marathon! Including yesterday we had three work days left and so much to finish before we leave this beautiful country. We still had 5 houses to build, concrete work to do, and painting to do.

Yesterday we had a team go and start on the concrete, 2 house build teams, and a small team that went out to Didasko to continue with our paint work there. I was on a house build team.

We pulled into Mololoa to see some Hondurans carrying wood to one of the work sites, luckily that was not my site, haha! The #TeamTricky team went for a little bit of a hike to get to our site, but once we were there the site was a very easy site. The ground was level, we did not have any rocks, we had plenty of room, etc.

We got to work with Dixon again today!

Noah and I's post-hole. I did break 1 rock in this hole but it wasn't too bad :)

Everyone took a turn babysitting today because we had this lovely on our build site!

I was very blessed today to get to see my boy Calvin. I meet him 4 or 5 years ago, however last year I was not really able to see him. I also got to meet his little brother Harold today! Harold is 2 years old and he is a cutie!

Pictures of Harold tomorrow or whenever internet is working. He is super cute so  you definitely will want to come back and see his cuteness!

We had dinner early last night and then we went out to a very old church building in Santa Lucia. It is the oldest standing church in the western hemisphere. This is the first year we have been able to go in quite a few years because they got a new priest. We started many years ago with a priest who loved letting us come in to worship there, the next priest did not want to let us in because we were not catholic, and then finally the newest priest is allowing us to enter again.

I have more pictures of the church and will try to post them another day.

We have only 2 days left, it is crazy to believe but we are going to sprint hard to the finish line and take advantage of every moment that we have left here in Honduras.

I have never seen a crab in Honduras until this year...We has now
seen 2 crabs! Matt was excited and he wanted to pick up the crab.

Internet is not loading today so I will try to post pictures either tomorrow morning or when we get back to the states.
